Transcribe! is distributed as "shareware".
This does not mean that the software is free, but it does mean that you may download it for 30 day evaluation from the internet for free, and you may freely copy and further distribute it so long as you have not modified the program or its associated files in any way.
Dead Simple License Agreement (DSLA)
You may only use Transcribe! if you agree to the license agreement stated here.
You may use Transcribe! unregistered for up to 30 days free of charge, but if you want to continue using it beyond this time then you must register it. This means paying a modest fee - $40 (forty US dollars) or £28 (twenty-eight UK pounds sterling) - to Seventh String Software, in return for which you get a registration number. You may not share this registration number with anyone else : it is for you only.
Registering Transcribe! entitles you to run it on one machine only, or on two machines as long as the program is for your exclusive use on both of them.
While we make all reasonable efforts to ensure that Transcribe! is bug-free and performs as it should, we cannot guarantee that it will always perform as expected or accept any liability for any aspect of its use.
Support is available from Seventh String Software via email only and is free.
